about-us-image2about-us-image2 Hello, I'd like to introduce myself and my wife Leanne; my name is Alan Shadduck... For me, the interest in photography began at an early age, taking a serious turn around 1980 when I set up a home darkroom, began processing my own film and prints, and professionally shot my first portraits and weddings. Over the years, Leanne and I found common interest in photography and exploring & hiking mountain trails. Then the photographic journey began expanding into nature photography and mastery of the modern digital darkroom. Our first visit to Estes Park (and Rocky Hallett-Storm-Pass-Sunrise-300px-wideHallett-Storm-Pass-Sunrise-300px-wide Mountain National Park) was in 2004 as we made our first Colorado home in nearby Loveland, and began hiking and exploring this amazing area. After a few moves we settled in at Estes Park as permanent residents in 2015.

Together, over the past 35 years, these common interests became a passion for capturing fleeting moments of light and time, which has evolved into the creation of the unique fine art imagery you will find showcased here in our website. As a seasoned  Out-of-the-Morning-Shadows-300px-wideOut-of-the-Morning-Shadows-300px-wide landscape, wildlife, and portrait photographer, my work has been graciously recognized in numerous venues, including magazine cover and feature article publications (Nebraska Life, NEBRASKALand), acclaimed web publications (National Geographic, Planet Experts), along with numerous local newsprint covers, publication in the Estes Park Visitor Guide, and display of my work at local Estes Park venues. Our Fine Art Prints are available for viewing and purchase at the many local art shows that we attend, and anytime directly from our website.

We are excited to also offer our Estes Mountain Portraits service, merging spectacular landscape imagery with our decades of experience with professional portrait photography. As I tend to focus on the technical end of composition and light, Leanne guides our guests with her incredible eye for capturing the personalities that are the essence of amazing portraiture. Together, as full time residents, we get out often and Tyler-Rock-Cut-300px-wideTyler-Rock-Cut-300px-wide know those special places that make an amazing, surreal backdrop for your personal, engagement, family, wedding formal, or senior grad portrait! Most of our favorite locations are in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park, where we operate as one of only a few photographers licensed and authorized by the National Park Service to conduct portrait photography inside the park.

So, please feel free to browse the Fine Art offerings, reserve a portrait session, or reach out with any questions. Maybe we'll see you at a local art show along the Estes Park River Walk, or meet up out on the trail (you may often find us in RMNP in this easily recognizable ride)! Either way we'd love to meet you, please stop by and say hello!
